Step 2 - Healthy Extras
Because the Slimming World Plan isn't a restrictive diet it's a lifestyle change, making sure you get a well rounded healthy diet for the long term health benefits. Healthy Extras are optional, again if you are all full up on that lovely free food and you haven't consumed all of you healthy extras one day, don't panic! Its fine you not need to eat them just because it recommended.
Each day you can enjoy 2 healthy A choices and 1 healthy B choice - Carefully weighed and measured
A Choices - are foods that contain high levels of calcium this is to ensure your teeth and bones stay nice and healthy. These are foods like milk & cheese - these can be found on page 34 of your Food Optimising book.
B Choices - are fibre rich as well as containing other important nutrients they include foods such as cereals, bread, crisp breads, dried, canned & cooked fruit also nuts & seeds.
Remember to weight & measure your healthy extras - Keep a log on your food diary - If you use more that the measured amount this would then by synned (Step 3)

Step 3 - choosing your Syns
If it's not Free Food it's Syn'd
On top of all that wonderful Free Food the Slimming World Plan caters for are Syns, these are all foods and drinks that are not Free Foods. Simply the Slimming World plan allows you to eat everything, however in moderation. Foods with the highest energy density, such as fats, oils, sugars.
Allow yourself 5-15 syns a day so you can eat guilt free. Planning your syns at the beginning of the day is a great way on taking control and focusing on Free Food for the rest of your slimming day.
