Spray a large non stick pan with the low calorie cooking spray, and place over a medium heat, add celery, onion, garlic, carrots, and bacon fry off for 10-20 minutes or so until tender moving around as necessary. Add the mixed herbs and simmer for a further couple of minutes. Place into the slow cooker.


Brown off the beef add to the slow cooker with stock cube, passata, chopped tomatoes and mushrooms cook for 30 minutes on high and reduce to low for 2+ hours. Serve with spaghetti or linguini or just your favourite pasta, not forgetting to sprinkle a little basil and parmesan over the top, and enjoy, savour the rich flavours.
