What Slimming World journey would be complete with out an awesome mid week roast chicken. Roast chicken is an instant hits the in our house. All the delicious protein will keep you feeling fuller for longer, why not pimp up your roast chicken with our mouth watering 1/2 syn Yorkshire pudding and syn free roast potatoes and plenty of green vegetables not forgetting your swede!
Get as much speed on your plate as you can! the challenge would be getting through it all!!
Steps
1 Done | Pre-heat your oven at 180 C fan |
2 Done | Place your chicken and onion and carrots into a large non stick baking tray. Pop in the oven at 180 C |
3 Done | After 20 Minutes turn your chicken so it stands crown down. |
4 Done | After another 20 minutes turn your chicken to stand on its back. This time before putting back sprinkle your chicken with the crumbled chicken stock cube and sage, pop back into the oven. |
5 Done | Baste your chicken regularly, after approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours take your chicken out let it rest crown side down. Please check cooking time for the actual size of your chicken usually found on the pack. |
6 Done | Before serving remove the skin. Remember to add your speed food to help fill you up and slim you down!! |
