- 100g Puffed RiceWholemeal
- 50g Marshmallow
- 75g DatesDeseeded and Chopped
- 25g WalnutsChopped
- 50g Dark Cooking Chocolate
With so many ‘health bars’ available that contain lots of preservatives and not so natural ingredients. We at slimming today have been conjuring up our very own low syn alternative. Now we know its not easy to make sweet treats without any syns in sight but with natural sugars and whole grains we have whipped up this Date and Walnut Crisp and hope you enjoy it.
Prepare a tin line with grease proof paper.
Weigh out all ingredients. Chop the Dates and the Walnuts.
Break the chocolate into small cubes and melt in a glass bowl over hot water.
Pop Marshmallow for 20 seconds in the microwave - few more seconds if needed! but please note it only takes a few seconds!!
Mix in the puffed rice, Dates & Walnuts into the melted marshmallow.
Pore the melted chocolate onto the greaseproof paper and spread around with the back of a warm spoon.
On top of the chocolate spread out the mixture. Leave to set and cut into 16 pieces.
